Doing laundry and eating socks

I love that Kimball can help out with a few things around the house now that he is getting bigger and older. He loves to take his clothes off down to his diaper and help me wash dishes, he thoroughly enjoys vacuuming, sweeping and mopping. One chore that he also helps out with is the laundry. I wish he could fold the laundry, but at least he can take it from the dryer to the couch.
He gave me this cheesy grin when he turned around while putting clothes on the couch and realized that I had the camera in hand. Gotta love those cheesy grins!
Here he is taking clothes out of the dryer, it is so cute to watch his little feet dangling as he reaches to the back of the dryer to get the clothes in the back. What do we do with our clean laundry? We eat it of course, ok well Brandon TRIES so hard to eat his clothes, especially his socks. He is just like me when I was a babe, always has one foot in his mouth

Caught in the act... About half of his socks are stretched out to double their original size because of his sock eating habits:)
My two boys are going to be the best of brothers, and this story is just the beginning. On Sunday, Kimball's feelings were hurt and he was upset and crying. Instead of seeking consolation with mom or dad, he went to his brother, who was on my lap, and cried on his lap. Brandon gave him big hugs and tried to eat his clothes and when Kimball looked at him Brandon reached his hands to his face, as if to say "Don't cry big brother!" Mike and I watched the whole interaction between them, we were touched!

Playtime outside...

It seems that we are in the same boat as a lot of people that we know, we all just want to enjoy the nice weather as much as possible!  After a long winter, our family is rearing for some outdoor adventure and fun, granted the grassy area in the back of our apartment doesn't bring much adventure:) Just thought I would share some pics of my boys from this week of us playing in the back of our apartments
Brandon chillin under the umbrella!
Kimball was about to throw a ball to me
Going down the slide
Brandon was trying hard to get the camera away from me
And then he tried hard to get a hold of his brothers face.

Anyways, my peaceful "me" time is coming to a close, my boys are waking up. I'm off for more adventures in the Matusek household with 2 sweet boys!

Fun at the Rodeo

Mike received two free tickets to the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo (DNCFR) so we got a sitter and made it a date. It really had been too long since our last real date, moving to a new place and not knowing anyone to babysit doesn't help much. The Rodeo was interesting, especially to Mike who had never been to one before. I asked him if he would ever go to another rodeo and he said probably not:) Oh well, it was a fun night nonetheless. The best part was the bull riding. It was a golden 8 seconds for one rider, out of all the competitors that night. He was the second to last rider during the last event, Bull Riding. Up to that point no one had stayed on the bull for more than 8 seconds and this guy finally did. It was a fun moment to cheer for him. There is one thing that I am sure of, and that is that I do not EVER want to ride on a bull!

Conference Weekend

Well, I know I am late (as always) with posting updates and stories, but it is better late than never right? On General Conference weekend, we decided to visit Rexburg. We stayed with my brother Corey and his family. We took some cute pictures of Brandon and his cousin, Abigail, who is a month younger than him, but practically double his size:) They were very gracious hosts to us and we had TONS of fun just hanging out... watching endless movies (Australia), and eating good food.
